I do portrait photography and its one of my go to apps when I need to know or be reminded of the perfect time for the best lighting.

A very useful solar clock, please add true sun-shadow gnomon! The sun-sync alarms helps me go out for a hike or walk at the best times of day. The only thing missing is an electronic sundial. A sun-shadow gnomon would make a really useful visual display. The gnomons shadow would show both the solar azimuth and elevation, dynamically and with elegant simplicity, graphical indication of the shadow length for any time during the day. Please put a gnomon and a shadow in the middle of the circle. The static shadow is misleading. Also, please let me set any specific sun elevation angle, up to 45 degrees, instead of limiting me to 20 degrees for golden hour. Sol. Solar timepiece for iPad. ☀☀☀☀☀ 5 stars. ≡≡≡ 9/9/2016.

Its clean design and functionality make it useful for all from novice to avid sun worshipper.

Doesnt get better than this! I love tracking the beginning of Dawn and Sunrise through the year. This is the perfect app for that purpose.

This is one of the best apps on my phone honestly. Its a pleasure to use and has many helpful features.

I have the alarm set for sunrise and sunset. 80% of the time the alarm works. I dont hear the alert nor is there a notification in the notification screen. For that I only give it ⭐️⭐️ until it gets fixed. I also have a free app that alerts me 100% of the time but is no longer supported or in the App Store. Thats why I got this app. Im a little disappointed. Especially since I paid money for it

I have a hard time driving at night, and need to know when daylight ends. This app is just what I need. Thank you!

The ancients had calendar systems that were based on cosmic cycles. Our modern calendar and time-keeping system is totally out of harmony with nature. As a consequence, our minds also get out of harmony with nature. With this app, you can be alerted to natural cycles. Its wonderful.

Pilots in the u.S.A. need keep track of 3 types of "night", all relative to current location. This app takes out the guesswork and makes it easy. It has a dynamic, clear display of much information, works well, and the developers are maintaining it. Its not perfect, but the 1/2 star of warts arent enough to push it down to 4 stars. Wishing all apps were this simple, effective, and current.

Its legit such a nice app, its cute and perfect and has a cool set up. I wish you could somehow include like a live weather thing on the earth and stuff and also add some cool features! Other than that its fab!

This app has more potential. I would like to add and see more locations at the same time! I dont want alarms but simple popups or notifications are fine! the way it is. To make it an alarm like app I would like all features of Night Stand in it!! But I Still wont use it as a night stand :) May be you cant use this app everyday but just once in a while to drift away for a moment. This is a very creative app. It does what it says very nicely and gives a visual of day line. Developer should add more customizations and options. All in All I still Love it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because it could use some more effort!

A surprisingly useful little app. Find solar noon and apply sunblock before you cook. Use it to find the right time to take scenic photos. I imagine there are other uses as well. Simple to use also

Informative and useful.

Nice interface. I use it to help checking times for night time long exposure photography. Love the multiple twilight and dawn format notations. The tabular report is very helpful for planning out upcoming shoot opportunities. Adding "golden hours" is awesome. Nice work!

I ride my bike at dawn and KAYAK at dusk. This app lets me predict exactly what the light conditions are so I can start my ride at the best time.

I love Sol. It wakes me at sunrise, what a great idea! And the reminders of golden hour are great too, gives me a chance to get out with my camera and look around. Sol is unique, and wonderful. Many thanks to the developers.

This is what an app should be like. Other apps should aspire to the elegance and intuitiveness of this apps simplicity in design. Both the apps UI/UX and its functionality as well as its method of information conveyance are stellar. Kudos to app maker. I hope to see more apps by this developer!
